What exactly is Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer?
Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer is a liquid rubberized coating that will stop water leaks and prevent corrosion. It will quickly fill minor cracks, crevices and small holes producing a watertight seal when dried. And it’s flexible, so if the item you need to seal is not rigid, like a low pressure garden hose, Flexible Sealer is the product you need. It’s a convenient aerosol spray so there’s no mess with brushes and clean-up. Flexible Sealer is great for gutters, downspouts, roofs, unpressurized pipes, shingles, skylights, windows, chimneys, flashing, duct work, A/C drip pans, garden hoses, RV’S & campers, bird baths, fountains and more! When used as directed, it will not drip, sag, chip, crack or peel and it can be painted over when its dry! It remains pliable, helps reduce vibrations, noise and sound and will last for years.

How can a sealer be flexible and why does it need to be?
Home Armor Flexible Sealer™ contains synthetic rubber products which aid in its flexibility. This characteristic is very important for some applications, like roofs, which will be exposed to weather that will cause surfaces to expand and contract. That flexibility is important to secure the leak.

How flexible is Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer?
Our product stays flexible longer than others on the market, down to 0° F.

Will Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer really stop water from running through the surface?
Believe it or not, yes, it will. If you spray a colander with Flexible Sealer, the colander will actually hold water, even after impact. In fact, when tested at low temperatures, Flexible Sealer is the only product that passes this test.

Will Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer adhere to vertical surfaces?
Yes! And it will cling to the surface while you are spraying. It won’t sag or drip.

Overall, what makes Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer a better product than others that I have seen advertised?
Wow, where do we start? Flexible sealer outperforms the competition on so many tests. It stays flexible under extreme cold conditions. It outperforms the competition on the “colander” test under cold temperatures, meaning it passes extensive leaking tests. It has great vertical cling. Flexible Sealer surpasses other products in weather durability and protection from rust.

What will Home Armor ™Flexible Sealer™ adhere to?
Just about everything that needs protection from leaks! It’s great for gutters, downspouts, roofs, unpressurized pipes, shingles, skylights, windows, chimneys, flashing, duct work, A/C drip pans, garden hoses, RV’S & campers, bird baths, fountains and more! For major repairs, though, you might want to check with a professional.

How many projects can I do with one can of Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer?
Well, that depends on the size of the projects. One 14 ounce can will treat 2 to 11 square feet, depending on the thickness and number of coats. One 15 ounce can will treat 4 to 11 square feet, depending on the thickness and number of coats.

Is there a special way to apply Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer or does it work like a regular aeorosol?
It sprays like thick paint. First, make sure the surface you are sealing is clean and dry. Shake the can well. Hold it in an upright position, with arrow on button pointed away from you. Hold the can approximately 10-12 inches from the surface that you will be sealing. As you spray, move your arm in a slow sweeping motion, stopping the spray when you get to the edge. Then, repeat if you want another coat. Don’t go back and forth while continuously spraying because this will cause the edges to be thicker. It’s always better to spray several light coats, rather than one thick coat.

I have a long, narrow crack, is Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer okay for that? Is there a lot of overspray?
There is not a lot of overspray. In fact, Flexible Sealer has a smaller, more defined spray than other products on the market.

How far beyond the leak should I spray the product?
Since water always seeks the lowest point, sometimes it’s difficult to predict the exact size of a crack or hole. Because of this, it’s always best to spray slightly past the leak, just to be sure.

How long does it take for Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer take to dry?
Depending on temperature and thickness, Flexible Sealer will take five to ten hours to dry.

Can Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer be used to repair items under pressure?
Please don’t. We do not recommend this be used to repair items under pressure, like water-heaters, hoses for pressure washing equipment, etc.

It’s raining, can I apply Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer?
We know you really want to get that leak fixed, but we recommend you wait until the surface is dry. The overall end result will be much better. Plus, we want you to be safe and dry inside.

I have a leak on a pipe under my kitchen sink and I don’t want to spray this in the house. Can I spray some in a bowl and brush it on?
Yes, but please don’t use a Styrofoam bowl –it will dissolve! Once it’s dry, you can recoat, if needed.

Can I use Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer to fix a leak inside a water tank used for drinking?
No. It’s not safe for this product to come in contact with drinking water. Also, don’t use this product to reseal beverage tubs. If your soda party tub is leaking, it’s just time to buy a new one.

Can I use Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer to stop leaks in items that have extreme heat or pressure?
Sorry, we can’t recommend it. Now, it will work for your outside garden hose, but not hoses that work with pressurized equipment.

I sprayed too much around the leak. How do I remove the excess Home Armor™ Flexible Sealer?
No problem. Just clean up the excess with Paint Thinner or Mineral Spirits.
